Motorola Signature Launched Globally: Flagship Specs, Premium Build, 7 Years of Updates

January 7, 2026 by Harish Reddy Gudi

Motorola has officially launched the Motorola Signature globally, positioning it as the brand’s most premium smartphone to date. With a flagship chipset, a high-end camera system, ultra-bright display, and long-term software support, the Signature is clearly aimed at users who want a no-compromise Android phone.

Display & Design

Motorola is pushing display tech hard with the Signature:

  • 6.8-inch AMOLED display
  • 1.5K resolution
  • 165Hz refresh rate
  • Up to 6,200 nits peak brightness
  • Designed for:
    • Outdoor visibility
    • Gaming and smooth scrolling
    • HDR content consumption

Premium build elements include:

  • Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front
  • Aluminium frame
  • IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance
  • MIL-STD-810H durability certification

Despite all this, the phone remains:

  • 6.99mm thin
  • 186 grams in weight

Performance & Software

Under the hood, the Motorola Signature packs flagship-grade hardware:

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
  • Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM
  • Up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage
  • Ships with Android 16
  • Runs Motorola’s Hello UX

Software support is a standout feature:

  • 7 years of OS upgrades
  • 7 years of security updates

This puts Motorola on par with the longest update commitments in the Android ecosystem.

Camera System

Motorola has gone all-in on cameras this time:

  • Front camera
    • 50MP Sony LYT-500
  • Rear camera setup
    • 50MP Sony LYT-828 (main, OIS)
    • 50MP ultra-wide (autofocus)
    • 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto
      • 3x optical zoom
      • OIS support

This setup targets:

  • Photography enthusiasts
  • Content creators
  • Zoom and low-light performance

Battery & Charging

Despite the slim design, battery and charging are solid:

  • 5,200mAh battery
  • 90W wired fast charging
  • 50W wireless charging

This combination ensures quick top-ups and reliable all-day use.

Colours & Pricing

Motorola is offering the Signature in Pantone-certified finishes:

  • Carbon
  • Martini Olive

Pricing details:

  • Starting price: €999
  • Roughly ₹1,05,350 / $1,170

This places it firmly in the ultra-premium flagship category.

Who Is the Motorola Signature For?

The Signature makes sense if you want:

  • Long-term software support
  • Flagship cameras with periscope zoom
  • A bright, fast AMOLED display
  • Premium design without excessive weight

Final Thoughts

With the Signature, Motorola is clearly targeting the top end of the smartphone market. Flagship hardware, durable build, and one of the longest update promises in Android make it a serious alternative for buyers looking beyond the usual premium brands.
