POCO X8 Pro Series Leaks Reveal Massive Batteries, Flagship Chips

February 19, 2026 by Harish Reddy Gudi

Early information around the upcoming POCO X8 Pro lineup points to a strategy focused on performance, battery capacity, and premium hardware features across both models.

Two variants are expected:

  • POCO X8 Pro
  • POCO X8 Pro Max

The differentiation appears to center on chipset tier, battery size, and biometric hardware while keeping the core experience consistent.

Both devices are expected to launch with Android 16 and HyperOS 3 out of the box, positioning the series among the first POCO phones to ship with the next-gen software stack.

The higher-end model is expected to be the POCO X8 Pro Max, built around a more aggressive hardware package.

Key expected specifications include:

  • 6.83-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED panel
  • 120Hz refresh rate with high brightness mode up to 2000 nits
  • 3840Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain

Performance is expected to be driven by:

  • MediaTek Dimensity 9500s
  • Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU
  • LPDDR5X memory paired with UFS 4.1 storage

Camera hardware appears focused on reliability rather than complexity:

  • 50MP primary sensor with OIS
  • 8MP ultrawide
  • 20MP front camera

Battery could become a major talking point:

  • Around 8500mAh capacity
  • 100W wired charging
  • Reverse charging support

Additional features expected on the Max variant:

  • Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor
  • Dual stereo speakers with high-resolution audio support
  • Wi-Fi 7 connectivity
  • IP68/IP69 durability ratings
  • NFC and IR blaster
  • Slim profile around 8.15mm despite the large battery

The standard POCO X8 Pro appears designed to retain most of the experience while reducing cost.

Expected specifications include:

  • 6.59-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED display
  • Same 120Hz refresh and high brightness capabilities
  • Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset with Mali-G720 GPU
  • LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage

Camera setup is slightly different:

  • 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS
  • 8MP ultrawide
  • 20MP selfie camera

Battery capacity drops compared to the Max but remains large:

  • Around 6500mAh
  • 100W fast charging
  • Reverse charging support

Other expected features:

  • Optical in-display fingerprint sensor
  • Metal frame design
  • Wi-Fi 6 connectivity
  • IP68/IP69 durability
  • NFC and IR blaster

The positioning suggests a clear tiering strategy:

  • X8 Pro → performance flagship value segment
  • X8 Pro Max → battery-focused power flagship

The Max variant prioritizes endurance and connectivity, while the standard model focuses on balanced performance.

Both devices maintaining fast charging, OLED panels, and high durability ratings indicates POCO is pushing premium features deeper into mid-flagship pricing territory.

If these specifications hold, battery capacity could become the main differentiator in the segment — an area where competition is rapidly escalating.

Launch timing has not been officially confirmed, but the leaks indicate development is nearing final stages.
